Mariah Carey is planning on making her upcoming tour, "elaborate."  The recently wed singer told MTV News she is looking to kick off the tour to promote E=MC2 in November, but it could be even later than that.  She said, quote "please don't hold me accountable if it turns out to be December 5th or December 7th or January 18th!"  While Mariah doesn't yet know what the look of the tour will be, she says it will be elaborate.  She went on to dispel rumors that her marriage to actor Nick Cannon is on the rocks.  Mariah said, quote, "life is beautiful, and things are going well."  She added that she is ecstatic to be a wife.  Carey is set to perform at the Teen Choice Awards in August and at the Fashion Rocks concert in September. 

One of reality TV's biggest names is teaming up with a hot, young superstar for a new dance-based series.  According to "Variety," Mark Burnett has tapped Chris Brown for his latest entry in the unscripted world.  Burnett, whose credits include "Survivor" and "The Apprentice," says the series will be a hip-hop/street dance competition.  He says Brown is perfect for the job because the singer, quote, "lives and breathes music and dance -- so his credibility is massive in this arena."  Burnett notes that Brown will have final say on whether contestants move on.  The still-untitled show is expected to have "Chris Brown Presents" in the title, which producers say will make Brown feel like he's "invested" in it.  No word on when the series is expected to air.

Americans are cementing their love-hate relationship with "American Idol" judge Simon Cowell in a new poll.  According to "People" magazine, 39 percent of over a million people surveyed  picked Cowell as their favorite reality-TV villain in the AOL Television poll.  The sharp-tongued Brit is known for delivering biting comments to contestants who don't stack up on "Idol."  Cowell's co-judge Paula Abdul won the title of worst reality-TV judge.  "Idol" also won the award of hottest hook-up for the reported relationship between 2008 winner David Cook and second-season runner-up Kimberly Caldwell.  Only 14-percent of voters said they would like to participate on the show themselves.  Auditions for the new season of "Idol" are currently being held in cities around the country.

Lil Wayne's being sued for allegedly copying a Rolling Stones song without permission.  Abkco Music has filed suit against the rapper for using the classic rock group's tune "Play with Fire" as the basis for his recent song "Playing with Fire."  Abkco, which owns the rights to the Rolling Stones' version, says Lil Wayne's crime is clear when you listen to both songs. Abkco is not only upset that Lil Wayne didn't ask for permission to use the melody, they say his version uses, quote, "explicit, sexist and offensive language."  Abkco is seeking an unspecified amount of money.  Lil Wayne's "Playing with Fire" appears on his recent album "Tha Carter Three."  The disc debuted back in June with first-week sales of over one-million units.  It has since cleared the two-million mark, and topped the chart three out of the last six weeks.

Scott Storch's private life appears to be taking a turn for the worse.  The "Palm Beach Post's" Jose Lambiet reports the hip-hop producer's house could be taken away soon.  According to the report, SunTrust Bank filed foreclosure papers earlier this month on the ten-million-dollar property.  SunTrust's motion claims Storch has been sporadic in making payments this year, despite the fact that he borrowed at least 170-thousand dollars from his friends.  SunTrust isn't the only company looking to get paid by Storch.  An electric utility and a security system installer have placed liens on the property over thousands of dollars in back payments.  In addition, last month a judge told cops to find Storch and place him in jail after the producer failed to show for a court hearing regarding back child support.  Storch's credits include Terror Squad's "Lean Back," Beyoncé's "Naughty Girl" and Mario's "Let Me Love You."

"The Dark Knight" star Christian Bale is asking the public to respect his privacy as he deals with a storm of controversy related to an assault allegation filed by his mother and sister.  Speaking at a press conference for his blockbuster movie in Barcelona, Spain yesterday, the 34-year-old Batman actor told reporters, quote, "It's a deeply personal matter."  People.com says Bale spent four hours in a London police station on Tuesday and was released pending further investigation.  A statement released by his lawyers deny reported allegations that Bale assaulted his mother and sister in a hotel room earlier this week. 

ABC "Dancing With The Stars" alum Marissa Jaret Winokur is a new mom.  People.com says the Tony winning "Hairspray" star and husband Judah Miller helped deliver the baby, who was carried by a surrogate mother, on Tuesday.  Little Zev Isaac Miller weighed in at eight pounds, seven ounces.  Winokur calls Zev her "miracle baby."  The 35-year-old survived cervical cancer seven years ago.  She announced the pregnancy in March.  Zev is the first child for Winokur and Miller who is a comedy writer.  After her stint on last season's "Dancing With The Stars," Winokur inked a deal to host her own talk show.  Miller just earned his first primetime Emmy nomination last week for his work on Fox's "King of the Hill."

Kelsey Grammer is opening up on the heart attack he says almost took his life.  In an interview with "Entertainment Tonight," the former "Frasier" star recalled the day when he was rushed to the hospital after feeling chest pains while paddle-boarding in Hawaii.  Grammer's spokesman Stan Rosenfield initially said the actor had suffered a mild heart attack on May 31st, but Grammer says there was nothing mild about it.  He tells "ET" that his heart actually stopped.  He said, quote, "They had to blast me twice to get me started all over again," adding that it felt, quote, "like somebody was actually trying to tear my chest apart with, like, the jaws of life."  Grammer's heart attack came three weeks after Fox announced it was canceling his sitcom "Back To You" after just one season.  He will be seen next on the big screen with Kevin Costner in the political comedy "Swing Vote," due out on August 1st.

Hulk Hogan's daughter is coming clean about allegations she made against her father.  Brooke Hogan tells People.com that allegations she signed off on about the wrestling legend abusing her mother are not true.  The 20-year-old aspiring singer says she did it "under significant pressure" from her mother.  Brooke says, quote, "It was only after I learned all the facts that I realized I made a big mistake in signing it."  She's referring to a legal affidavit she signed in the divorce proceedings between her father, whose real name is Terry Bollea, and mother Linda.  In her statement to People.com, Brooke says she now regrets signing the document and has asked that it not be filed in court.  Her attorney says the affidavit was signed several months ago at a time when Brooke was upset with her father.  She is now living with Hulk and estranged from her mother.  Linda Hogan filed for divorce from Hulk last November.

The mother of pop stars Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys, and Aaron Carter was arrested yesterday in Sumter County, Florida for failing to appear in court.  According to TMZ.com, Jane Carter's arrest comes in the midst of her messy divorce from former husband, John Halcomb.  She was due in court to answer Halcomb's allegations that she once trashed their home, among other things.  When she failed to appear in court yesterday, a Florida judge ordered a bench warrant.  TMZ.com says Jane Carter was arrested on the job -- at a cemetery where the construction company she works for was working on a project. 

Madonna's ex-beau and father of her daughter says there is no way the pop icon would cheat on her husband.  Carlos Leon told "People" magazine that he does not believe in the scandal surrounding Madonna and Yankees slugger Alex "A-Rod" Rodriguez.  He said, quote, "trust me, that's a lie.  I know for a fact she wouldn't do that."  Despite the scandal that has reportedly taken a toll on Madonna's health, her eleven-year-old daughter is not being affected.  Leon stressed he and Madonna's daughter Lourdes have a great relationship and both parents make sure to keep her grounded with simple things such as riding a bike to places, rather than depending on a driver.  He added, quote, "that's how I keep her grounded.  Her mom does a good job too - she's not that person everyone thinks.  She's very laid back and cool."

Rumors are flying that Disney stars Selena Gomez and Nick Jonas are an item, and some now say Nick may have inspired some lyrics in one of Selena's songs.  E! Online quotes a source as saying the verse of Gomez's tune, "Head First" was definitely written about Jonas.  They said, quote, "they were writing lyrics for the bridge, and she was saying how Nick makes her so mad when he doesn't call her back."  While "People" magazine recently reported the two have been more than just friends for several months, Gomez's rep stresses they are nothing more than buddies. 

Mariah Carey is planning to help Nick Cannon get a job. A source says, “She’s planning on helping him become a model. She’s always talks about how sexy her man is, so she’s going to try to get him a modeling job. She’ll find some ways to make him more famous! She wants him to start meeting with well-known designers.”

Timbaland says he's getting ready to record with The Jonas Brothers. "Right now, I have a song with Madonna that I didn't put on her album. I saved (it) in case I wanna do one for me. Of course I'mma (I will) do one with Beyonce. Of course I'mma do one with Jordin Sparks, Rihanna. It's a lot of people. I'mma do one with Jonas Brothers. I'mma try to have 10 major ones."

Jessica Simpson says she is coming out with her own line of designer gowns. "I’m extremely excited to be expanding into the dress market.
