D.O.T.D. July 21

  • Ezra Welch has turned his East Berlin. Connecticut home into a Batcave. The 40 year-olds walls are covered in Batman posters while his basement is adorned with $10,000 worth of comics, clocks, action figures, toys, masks and Batman cologne. Welch has a Batrock, which was taken from the Batcave on the TV show.
  • Chicago native Nathan Robbel dressed exactly like the Joker for Friday’s midnight showing of “The Dark Knight.” He wore a purple suit, green vest and carried the same pocket knife sported by Heath Ledger. The screening was almost delayed because of many fans were lined up to take pictures with him.
  • The staff at the Together Time Bilingual Childcare Center in Northdale, Florida, is under fire for leaving a 4 year-old boy at a McDonald’s. Employee Maria Moya says that one of the boy’s friends said, “Present” when asked if he was there. The child was actually in the bathroom and had no idea that his school bus had left without him. The staff didn’t realize he was missing until they did a headcount. A member of the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office  stayed with the boy until the daycare workers returned. (Aren't you supposed to do a head count before you leave the area??!!)
