D.O.T.D. August 15

  • On June 25th, 63-year-old Robert Powell of Orange Park, Florida, won the Florida Lotto jackpot, and after choosing to take the lump sum payout . . . he made off with $6.7 MILLION. So, being the good Christian he is, Robert cut his church, the First Baptist Orange Park church, a check for $600,000, but they refused to accept his money, because playing the lottery is a form of gambling and the church is opposed to gambling in any form. (Question, how do you know where the money the rest of the congregation is giving came from, do you check everyone…trust me someone in the congregation did something illegal to gain that money.)
  • In 2004, a 14-year-old kid named Andrew Busskohl of Woodbury, Minnesota (--just east of St. Paul), was suffering from a condition called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. He spent five months on a donor list . . . and eventually, he got his new heart. Here we are, four years later, Andrew is 100% healthy physically, mentally is a whole different story. Check this out…Last Wednesday, Andrew told his friend, Eric Eischens (--no age was given), that he'd come up with a plan . . . to murder a stranger, cut off his eyelids and cut out his heart. That night, Andrew sneaked over to a neighbor's house and broke a window. The idea was that Andrew would come back in a few days and finish the job . . . meaning "kill the guy". Fortunately, Eric called the police and told them what Andrew was up to.    When the police showed up at Andrew's house, they found gloves, a mask, a knife, a scalpel, a swimming cap, scrubs, gauze, a map to the neighbor's house, shoe covers, a pry bar, a flashlight, tweezers and scissors. The police arrested Andrew, and he's been charged with "first-degree burglary with a dangerous weapon" and "aggravated harassment with a dangerous weapon." If he's convicted, he could get up to 27 years in prison and $49,000 in fines. Andrew has since been released on $100,000 bail.
  • A 22 year-old German man was recently arrested after checking into a hotel and making more than $10,000 worth of calls to 1-900 sex lines. A hotel worker called the police after the man, who had taken amphetamines and smoked weed, said he had no way to pay his bill or for his six-night stay. Officers arrested him because he had warrants for making similar calls at other hotels.
  • BONUS DIMWIT***Nestore Monaldo was recently getting his hair cut at a barber shop in Italy when he noticed a nude calendar hanging on a wall. He went nuts after he looked at the calendar a second time and noticed his girlfriend was on the front of it. The 30 year-ld burned the shop to the ground after the owner refused to remove the calendar.
