Don't expect Jesse Jackson to pick up Game's upcoming CD, "L.A.X."  According to MTV.com, the political activist is targeted on two of the disc's tracks.  One of the songs, titled "My Life," simply uses the "F-word" expletive.  The video for the tune, which features Lil Wayne and Young Buck, debuts today on MTV.  But another song on "L.A.X" includes a line that's much more controversial.  On the tune "Letter to the King," which is about Dr. Martin Luther King, Game raps, quote, "I wonder why Jesse Jackson ain't catch him before his body dropped."  Jackson was an associate of King's, and was on hand when King was assassinated in 1968.  Game has yet to respond to MTV's questions about why he's targeting Jackson.  Game's "L.A.X." disc drops August 26th.

The "other woman" is admitting to sleeping with the father of Jamie Lynn Spears' baby during the teen actress' pregnancy.  In an exclusive interview with "In Touch" magazine, 28-year-old Kelli Dawson says she and Spears' fiance, Casey Aldridge, were romantically involved until Spears, the younger sister of pop star Britney Spears, was six months pregnant with Aldridge's child.  Dawson says her relationship with the Aldridge, who is nine years her junior, was both real and lasting even after Jamie Lynn announced she was expecting.  Dawson added that, even now, quote, "I see him all the time, at least once a week." 

Lindsay Lohan is shooting down rumors that her little sister has undergone plastic surgery.  Lindsay wrote on her blog on the social networking site MySpace Thursday that reports that 14-year-old aspiring singer and actress Ali Lohan may have received breast implants made Lindsay, quote, "feel a bit sick to my stomach."  She adds that while she is "not judging" people who have had cosmetic surgery, her and Ali's "mother taught us to appreciate what we have been given."  Lindsay also writes that mom Dina would never "encourage or allow a 14-year-old child to alter her body."  Dina and Ali appear on the E! reality show "Living Lohan."  Lindsay will have a recurring role on ABC's "Ugly Betty" this season.

Kid Rock is joining the lineup of performers at next month's MTV Video Music Awards.  MTV News reports the rocker, who made headlines at last year's award ceremony for exchanging punches with rocker Tommy Lee, will perform his hit single "All Summer Long."  The song is the third release from Rock's 2007 album "Rock N' Roll Jesus."  Rock credits the popularity of his song to his decision to go against the grain by not going digital.  He chose to put the song straight on the radio without giving fans the chance to download the tune.  Rock said, quote, "I've always had a problem with people telling me, 'Oh, you have to do this because you have to do it.'  So when everyone was telling me that I had to release my single on iTunes because they own the market and that's just what you've gotta do these days, I decided that I wasn't going to do it."  Following his decision, "All Summer Long" debuted at number one on the Billboard albums chart back in October and continues to sit on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. 

The Cheetah Girls are back with a new movie and music.  The trio, featuring Adrienne Bailon, Sabrina Bryan and Kiely Williams, will release the 12-song soundrack to their third Disney Channel original film "The Cheetah Girls One World" this coming Tuesday, August 19th.  The Cheetah Girls say that fans will enjoy what the record has to offer. The Cheetah Girls will do a signing for their new soundtrack August 19th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at New York City's Virgin Megastore in Times Square.  "The Cheetah Girls One World," which will premiere Friday, August 22nd on the Disney Channel, was filmed in India and follows the trio as they decide what to do following their senior year of high school.  The Cheetah Girls will launch their nationwide "The Cheetah Girls One World Tour" this fall.  The 50-date trek will begin October 8th in Austin, Texas and conclude December 21st in San Diego.  Most tickets go on sale Saturday, August 23rd through Ticketmaster.

The ladies of "The View" are getting a visit from the New Kids on the Block.  ABC has announced that the recently reunited boy band will appear on the 12th season premiere of the chat fest, Tuesday, September 2nd.  The New Kids, which include Donnie Wahlberg, Joey McIntyre, Jonathan Knight, Jordan Knight and Danny Wood, will head out on tour later next month and are also set to release a new album in the fall.  Other guests "The View's" Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Sherri Shepherd are expecting their first week back include "ER's" Maura Tierney, "The Hills'" Audrina Patridge and "Entourage" star Adrian Grenier.

The Material Girl is hitting the big five-oh.  Pop star Madonna will turn 50 years old tomorrow.  Born Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone on August 16th, 1958 in Bay City, Michigan, the singer-actress attended the University of Michigan on a dance scholarship, but left to pursue her career in New York City.  After stints with two bands, Madonna finally scored a record deal with Sire Records.  Her first single, "Everybody," was released in April 1982.  That led to the 1983 album "Madonna," which featured the hits "Borderline," "Lucky Star" and "Holiday."

Citing the need to bolster next summer's moviegoing schedule, Warner Bros. says it's delaying the release of the next Harry Potter movie.  The film is expected to be in theaters in July of 2009.  The original release date for "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" was in November this year.  Warner Bros. President Alan Horn said, quote, "we know the summer season is an ideal window for a family release."  The studio says the delay of "Half-Blood Prince" will not change production plans for the final, two-part Potter movie release.  Part one of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" is still set to be in theaters in November of 2010.  The Harry Potter books have sold an estimated 400-million copies.  The books have been translated into 60 languages.

"The Dark Knight" star Christian Bale will not face charges over claims he assaulted his mother and sister.  "People" has confirmed that the actor, who plays the Caped Crusader in the latest Batman movie, is off the hook in the case.  Prosecutors at England's Crown Prosecution Service have reviewed the matter and determined that it is not in the public interest to pursue the case and that there is insufficient evidence to gain a conviction.  Bale was accused of allegedly assaulting his mother and sister in the suite of his London hotel the night before "The Dark Knight's" premiere there last month.  He turned himself into police the day after the premiere and was arrested, questioned and released.  Bale's attorney said at the time that the actor denied the allegations.  "The Dark Knight" is already the third-biggest movie of all time, having racked up more than 441-point-five-million-dollars in sales since its debut.

An actor who appeared in the Steve Carell comedy "The 40-Year-Old Virgin" has pled not guilty to one count of attempted murder.  E! Online reports that 43-year-old Shelley Malil entered the plea in court Tuesday.  The charge against him carries a possible maximum sentence of life in prison.  Malil remains behind bars on ten-million-dollar bail.  He is accused of brutally stabbing ex-girlfriend Kendre Beebe 20 times and then fleeing the scene.  Malil reportedly arrived at the victim's home Sunday evening and found her in the backyard with another man.  He then allegedly grabbed a knife and began stabbing her.  The other man tried to intervene and was stabbed in the hand.  Beebe was listed in critical condition, but is now reportedly expected to survive.  Malil was arrested Monday evening.  Malil played Chad in "The 40-year-old Virgin," and has also appeared on the TV series "Scrubs," "Seinfeld" and "NYPD Blue."

Actor Shia LaBeouf is reportedly back to work following his serious car accident late last month.  According to E! News, the rising star was expected to return to the set of "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" Thursday.  The 22-year-old could have missed as much as a month of filming, after he needed "extensive hand surgery" as a result of an injury he suffered in the crash.  The director of the film has said that LaBeouf's injury will be written into the script.  LaBeouf was cited for a misdemeanor DUI following the accident, but authorities said the crash was likely caused when another driver ran a red light.  The actor's passenger in the car at the time of the accident was his "Transformers" co-star, actress Isabel Lucas.

Model, actress and reality star Pamela Anderson is reportedly dating a member of Abu Dhabi's royal family.  According to E! Online, Anderson met the man when she visited Abu Dhabi, part of the United Arab Emirates, in June with the Make a Wish Foundation.  She has since announced that she plans to partner with the royal family on building an eco-friendly hotel in the area.  Anderson is a longtime activist for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals and says that the resort will feature organic linens and bath products not tested on animals.  Anderson is now appearing on the E! unscripted series "Pam:  Girl on the Loose."

A new batch of celebrities are going country.  The second season of CMT's "Gone Country" will feature seven performers from various areas of the entertainment industry, competing for a chance at a country music career.  This season's "Gone Country" cast includes Skid Row's Sebastian Bach, singer Irene Cara, and former "American Idol" finalist Mikalah Gordon.  Also competing will be The Jackson 5's Jermaine Jackson, former 'N Sync member Chris Kirkpatrick, actor Lorenzo Lamas and actress Sean Young.  Each celebrity will again be paired with two of Nashville's finest songwriters with whom they will write a country single.  The artist that is most prepared to impress a country audience, as determined by host and mentor John Rich, of the country duo Big & Rich, will record and release their single to country music radio.  "Gone Country 2" premieres tonight at 7, on CMT.

Marcia, Marcia, Marcia is at it again.  "The Brady Bunch" alum Maureen McCormick is taking on the responsibility of running a bed and breakfast in rural Tennessee in the new CMT reality series "Outsiders Inn."  The actress says having such a business is something she's always wanted to do.  Joining McCormick in her venture are her former "Gone Country" co-stars, one-time New Edition member Bobby Brown, serving as entertainment director at the bed and breakfast, and Wilson Phillips singer Carnie Wilson, as master chef for the inn.  McCormick is best known for playing Marcia Brady on the classic TV series "The Brady Bunch."  Her other reality credits include VH1's "Celebrity Fit Club."  "Outsiders Inn" premieres tonight at 8:00 on CMT.

TV personality Regis Philbin has landed another guest spot.  Zap2It.com reports that the "Live with Regis and Kelly" co-host will make a cameo on the second episode of CBS' "How I Met Your Mother," set to air Monday, September 29th.  Philbin, who will be playing himself, will be one person that Jason Segel's character Marshall, encounters while on the hunt for the place he ate his first ever New York hamburger.  Philbin and his co-host Kelly Ripa will both make cameos on the premiere of ABC's "Ugly Betty" this season, airing Thursday, September 25th.  Philbin has spent more than 15-thousand hours on the boob tube, making him the Guinness world record holder for most camera time on television.

"Dawson's Creek" alum Busy Philipps is now a first-time mom.  "People" reports that the actress and her husband, screenwriter Marc Silverstein, welcomed a baby girl Wednesday.  Birdie Leigh Silverstein weighed in at nine-pounds and seven-ounces.  Twenty-nine-year-old Philipps and Silverstein married last June.  Philipps didn't take much time off during her pregnancy, even filming episodes for the Fox series "The Sarah Connor Chronicles" while in her third trimester.  Philipps played Audrey Liddell on the WB's "Dawson's Creek."  Her other acting credits include appearances on "ER," "How I Met Your Mother," "Love, Inc." and "Undeclared."

Leah Remini, best known as Carrie from “King of Queens” may be getting her own daytime talk show. She’s developing a show with CBS and the only word on it right now is that it isn’t “a traditional talk show.” It is set to premiere next fall.

Comedy Central has picked up a new show called “Michael and Michael have issues” featuring Michael Showalter and Michael Ian Black. It’ll be a half-hour comedy where the Michaels address the issues they have with themselves, each other, and the world. There’s no word on an airdate.

Chuck Woolery the legendary host of “Love Connection” has landed a new hosting a game show for cats. On the show, which is called “The Meow Mix Game Show,” the cat owners will answer questions and participate in interactive challenges with their cats. The grand prize will be $1 million dollars. It’ll will premiere on November 15th onGSN.
